on june 22, xag r150 was invited to join the opening ceremony of the precision agricultural centre of bishop burton college, where this small farm robot debuted in front of the uk parliament members. mp and press media presented that day show great interest in its agility and easy palm control.

funded by part of a £1.7 million investment from the department for education of uk, the centre is built into the yorkshire and humber institute of technology, as well as a facility to educate the british farmers and agronomists.

during the ceremony, guests had the chance to observe some of the specialist equipment that have been obtained for the centre in close distance. as one stop of its demonstration tour across the uk, the autonomous, all-electric r150 was brought by xag’s partner to showcase its multiple functions onsite.

graham stuart, mp for beverley and holderness, councillor nigel wilkinson, chairman of east riding of yorkshire council and bill meredith, college principal and ceo of the bishop burton college attended the official launching.

graham stuart took a test drive of xag r150 and was greatly impressed by its easy-to-use smart control system. to deploy the robot for spraying and transportation, a handheld control stick was optionally needed as easy as playing the gameboy.

as the rural ageing population is growing larger, uk and other european countries express stronger demands for autonomous farming tools to improve their labour efficiency. drones and robots are now getting acknowledged by more and more people from different sectors in the uk.
